Catheter

In the development of the Cardiac Catheter, Soltech was contacted to develop the product as well as the production method. The Catheter is designed for venous drainage. It has special features that result in optimal flow rates independent of the blood pressure being systolic or diastolic.

At the final project stages a partial technology transfer was initiated so that parts of the Catheter today is produced in Soltech's cleanroom whereas the Catheter itself is manufactured by our customer. The part that Soltech produces is illustrated below.

Made in high temperature plastic with our Tip Forming Machine

Soltech produces semi-automated bonding and tip forming equipment for catheter manufacturing. Our forms are well suited for any type of tip forming, for example on dilators, sheaths, catheters or balloon catheters. They are produced in-house in accordance to specific customer requirements and specifications. ​

Our bonding machines are used for bonding braid to non braid, soft tips to catheter, and single- or multilumen tubings. Our equipment is fitted with data logging technology that can document each individual step in the production cycle.​
